    Original post

    Block D of the SF-30.

The OY has already been executed, but no funds were attached.

2 weeks later, finance sends me a requisition (funds) for the OY.  What FAR authority do I use to do this "Funding Only Action"?

I used FAR 52.217-9 to execute the OY (without funds), can I use the same FAR 52.217-9 to "fund" the OY?

Honestly I have a disconnect with regard to your overall post based FAR 17.207 with states at "(c) The contracting officer may exercise options only after determining that(1) Funds are available;".  This said I would use any wording or authority that makes you and your process review auditors happy.

Thank you so much.  The funds were available, however the person that was supposed to send me the requisition (funds) was very late on getting it to me. I had to Exercise the OY, just to stay in contract.  ( Thus. . Contract OY exercised w/out funds).

Well, then.  Funds were apparently available at the time that the option was exercised.
