OTA question on FAR

My employer (Small woman owned non traditional contractor) is a supplier to a large prime. They have received a large contract under an OTA and we are a 2.0 Million plus contractor to them. As such the prime (my customer) has advised that we have to submit certified cost or Pricing Data. IAW FAR 52.215.20 to them in the format of 14.408. I thought the purpose of an OTA is to avoid some of these FAR requirements.

I dont believe the items we supply meet the definition of a "Commercial Product" so is there any way of getting out of submitting this cost data? Or is is really even required? Or is the Prime just trying to make us submit it and its not really required?
