    Original post

I am looking for information on professional indemnity insurance for Government Contracting Officers. One of the interns here brought it up and I know nothing about it except for what I just found on line which was not much. Is it something that a KO must or should have?

    Thanks.

Ever hear of Google? Go here: http://www.fedsprotection.com/professional...asp?category=21. So much for market research.

Almost 12,000,000 hits came up with I searched. Here's a good article on the subject from Government Executive magazine:

    http://www.govexec.com/features/0200/0200personalbiz.htm

At $20/month for coverage, this implies to me that the chances of a lawsuit or need for this is really small. Insurance premiums are based on risk and the risk seems almost nil.

Thanks for the info and the link. Of the 12M hits, I did not click on this article. I found the article to be very informative and thought provoking. I appreciate the response.
