    Original post

There was an article in the Washington Post today about industry being invited to tell the Administration what regulations needed to be revised and appealed.  Here is a set from the The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

On p. 8 of the AGC document they briefly discuss contract regulation.  On p. 12 of the document they write about specifics.  Much of this is contracting.

    Any discussion.

I noticed there was an entry about reverse auctions for construction work.  We are required by state law to solicit construction via sealed bidding, so reverse auctions are not so outlandish from my perspective.  My perspective could be warped, though.

An industry coalition, including the Associated General Contractors (AGC),  is trying to get legislation introduced yet again to prohibit reverse auctions for construction contracts.

    Hi, Joel,

Rent seeking, or good idea?  Or both?
