The Restatement of the Law (2d) of Contracts, a scholarly summary of the common law of contracts, is available in a three-volume softcover edition from West for $46.00. That's a bargain. If you're not familiar with the _Restatemen_t go to Wikipedia and search for "restatement contracts."

If you're interested in contract law you'll find the Restatement to be very readable and well annotated. It will help you understand the common law of contracts under the FAR. I recommend it as a desk reference. For the law of contracts in the commercial sector you'll want to look at the Uniform Commercial Code.
