Option language

Good day all, I saw this question on another contracting forum and wondering if you thought there was enough to answer: 

May an option with the following language be exercised beyond the contract completion date?

“The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days of contract completion.”

The answers are yes or no. 

I along with some others think there isn't enough details in the question. I would love your thoughts.  Thanks!
