Hello,
And thank you in advance for the replies to this topic. I have been working for a Contractor that performs on construction and services federal contracts for several different agencies. We pretty much act as the General Contractor on our contracts. I have a Bachelor's Degree (BBA). I have over five (5) years of experience as a Contract Manager for our firm. I want to take the CPCM or CFCM course. Ever since I started in the Government contracting space, I have really enjoyed it. With my experience, what career paths do I have in front of me? I would like to go work for either the Government directly some day as a Contracting Officer or for a large defense contractor, like General Dynamics. What recommendations might you have for someone like myself? Would you recommend the CPCM or the CFCM? My goal is to advance in this career and make more money. I do not understand the Government clearance classes to even get my feet wet there, so any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
